The Federal AMA has completed an analysis of the Government's Plan to Simplify and Streamline Superannuation,  which was announced by the Treasurer in the 2006 federal budget.  

An AMA submission was lodged with the Treasury expressing support for the overall package and requesting a change to the current 10% rule, under which VMOs who receive more than 10% of their income from a public hospital employer which provides superannuation support lose their entitlement to tax deductible personal superannuation contributions.
