Charity Golf Day raises $18,000 - Charity Golf Classic 2007
A superb day was had at the 13th Annual Pro/Am Charity Classic in support of research and treatment of depression. Ninety three golfers, including 24 pros, competed at Terrey Hills Golf Club on the 8th March and raised nearly $18,000.
Allan May took out the Senior Pro competition, taking home a share of the $6,000 prize money on offer. Chris Mariani from United Medical Protection won the individual event on a countback, while Cecilia Senior came first in the women’s event.
The Charitable Foundation was originally founded by AMA (NSW) Golf Society members and after 13 years, it’s great to see that the support and enthusiasm remains strong.
A big thank you to our sponsors on the day for their generosity and support, especially our major sponsor Mercedes-Benz of Sydney.
The Foundation’s next major event for this year is the Charity Gala Dinner to be held at Parliament House in July. For further information, please contact Doreen Kavic on (02) 9439 8822.
