The Starting In Private Practice Workshop is designed for registrars finishing college training and who are about to or have just entered private practice.
Expert presenters provide attendees with presentations on:
-Medicare Australia’s role, account requirements, audits and online claiming.
-Basic financial issues when starting out in your practice.
-Business technology including setting up your practice’s hardware and software in today’s IT environment.
-Contractual issues, practice structures and considerations when buying a practice.
-Medico legal factors in private practice including privacy, handling patient records and subpoenas.
-Medical practitioners’ experiences in setting up their own practices.
The presentations will provide delegates with a brief overview of the “hot” topics in private practice. Participants will also have the chance to speak one-on-one with presenters and other representatives from professional organisations/companies who specialise in assisting medical practitioners.
The next Starting In Private Practice Workshop will be on November 8 that is the specialist one, and for more information contact Ms Kimberley Darby on
kimberley@nswama.com.au or 9439 8822.
