Doctors in Training Committee

The Doctors in Training Committee (DITC) is a reporting committee of AMA (NSW) that meets regularly to discuss issues that concern doctors-in-training.

The committee is chaired by AMA (NSW) Councillor representing DITs, Dr Katherine Jeffrey, and canvasses important topics such as the current increases in medical student numbers and the AMA's Safe Hours Campaign

The committee's discussions are reported back to the 29-member AMA (NSW) Council which, in consultation with the wider AMA membership, formulates state policy.

All medical students and doctors in training are represented by nominees from hospitals, universities and other external groups.

If you would like to get involved and have your say in AMA DIT policy direction at a state level, please contact Alicia Speer at AMA (NSW).
